MySpace.com looking for advertising partners
News Corp. has said that their MySpace.com service is looking for potential partners to help them serve content-based advertisements. They are looking at the top three players in the market: Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft MSN.
The company plans to solicit bids from these three companies to provide its popular youth-oriented network with search-based advertising.
MySpace.com has become one of the most visited website on the internet and has tremendous following amongst the teenagers around the world. News Corp. Chief Operating Officer Peter Chernin spoke about their plans: “We will auction off our search business to Google, Yahoo, or MSN.â€
He added about the potential of the website to generate revenues: “We’ve just scratched the surface of how to monetize it.”
