Samsung believes that Microsoft’s teaser on Origami backfired
Samsung was one of the first companies to launch a device based on Microsoft’s Origami technology. However, the company has been receiving mixed response to their product Q1.
The company has now said that the negative response from the customers is most likely a result of the viral promotional campaign taken by the software giants Microsoft.
Microsoft started a teaser campaign in which it slowly disclosed Origami details on a brand new website. This led to a lot of excitement on the internet as Bloggers and news networks speculated on what the company was planning to launch.
Microsoft later revealed the Origami technology saying that the products based on it would cost between USD 500 and USD 1000. Q1 when launched was a little bit more expensive and people who have read a lot about it in the media have turned out to be quite disappointed with its capabilities.
Samsung is now working on the second-generation Origami technology based devices and they hope to fix the flaws in the first versions.
