Disney claims ABC online ad supported shows a hit with web users
Walt Disney has said that its ABC shows telecasted on the net were successful as they were viewed as many as 11 million times on the Web in the first month itself.
These shows were supported by advertisements and as per market research, 87 percent of respondents could recall the advertisers that sponsored the episodes they watched.
This could now result in Disney showing more of their shows on the net as television shows powered by advertisement have a typical ad recall of about 40 percent for commercials.
Disney would now be launching an updated version of the free site in the fall this year. They would be changing the shows telecasting on this free site and the company believes that they would have no problems finding the advertisers for this service.
