Jaguar XK is Auto Express Car of the Year

Ford has now something to boast about. Their Jaguar’s new XK sports model has been named as the Car of the Year by Auto Express magazine.

Auto Express magazine was so impressed by this car that they said: it “knocks the competition into the weeds.”

Impressively, Jaguar XK also won the Best Coupé title. This car was one of the 19 class winners chosen by the magazine’s road test team.

Auto Express editor-in-chief David Johns said in a statement: “The name Jaguar has always meant something special in motoring history but in the recent past its cars haven’t been able to live with the best from the German prestige brands.”

He added: “Now Jaguar has produced a car which knocks them all into the weeds. The new XK is a truly special car … we have no doubts it is a real world-beater.”

Nissan Note won the title for Best Supermini MPV and the new Sweden-manufactured Honda Civic won the award for Best Compact Family Car.
