MySpace.com to expand to 11 other countries

Fox Interactive Group has said in a statement that they are working on expanding the scope of its massively popular MySpace.com social networking site to 11 other countries.

The media group would be seeking programming deals with traditional media companies in these new countries for featuring on the website.

News Corp. acquired MySpace.com last year for a massive $580 million and they want to now expand this site’s focus to other nations including France and Germany. India and China are other two countries MySpace.com would focus on in the coming months.

MySpace.com added that they have appointed David Fischer to be its managing director for the United Kingdom and other European countries.
