Abertay University to offer degree in ethical hacking
Scottish university Abertay University in Dundee has announced its plans to offer a course to teach students how to be computer hackers.
Students of this course would be taught how to crack sophisticated security systems. This would help them offer their services to corporate entities to protect their internal and external networks.
The university is seeking government accreditation for this course.
The officials at the university have also said that they are not aiming to create hackers out of the students but want to create professionals proficient in network security to help corporate handle internet attacks.
Applicants to this course would face a tough government vetting process to ensure that they do not use their skills for unethical hacking activities.
