Skoda to expand production in the Chinese market
Czech automaker Skoda has said that they are planning to expand their production in the Chinese market. The company aims to expand their offerings to three model ranges from the currently planned one.
Skoda is looking towards expanding its market share in this growing market. They plan to start selling Skoda Octavia from next year. Skoda Fabia and Skoda Superb would follow soon.
These three models would be manufactured at Volkswagen’s Shanghai joint venture plant. All the vehicles manufactured here would be sold in Chinese market itself.
The company said that they see China as one of the strategic markets for the brand’s future growth. They are also expanding in other world markets including Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, Bosnia, and India.
