AT&T reveals decision to revise their privacy policies for the customers
US based telecom giant AT&T has said that they are revising their privacy policies for their consumers. The company is explaining to their customers that they owns their phone records and can hand them over to law enforcers if necessary.
These new policies comes into affect from tomorrow and interestingly, the changes are being made at the time where AT&T and other phone companies face lawsuits related to U.S. government domestic spying program.
Complainants have accused the telecom companies in the US of giving the National Security Agency call records of millions of customers without their permission.
The telecom giant said that this new privacy policy was designed to help the consumer understand their practices better and does not change how it treats customer information. It added that the consumer would have to accept these policies before they can use their services.
