Google launches advertisement-supported videos on Google Video Store
Search engine giants Google are trying out a new mode of advertisement as they are now making available for free ad-supported premium videos.
During this test phase, some of the premium videos on the Google Video store would be made available free. However, these videos would feature ads from advertisers like Burger King, Pepsi, and Netflix.
Around 2000 videos are available for free under this program including “The Charlie Rose Show,” “Felix the Cat†and some small movies.
These videos are otherwise available for a price ranging from 99 cents to $14.99. If Google is successful with this program, we might see more premium content available as a free download supported with inline advertisement.
Google’s ad-supported videos show a banner ad displayed for the duration of the video and a short video ad at the end of the video.
