Jeffrey Toback drops porn lawsuit against Google
Search engine giant Google has something to cheer about as one of the numerous lawsuits against it has been dropped.
Jeffrey Toback, a member of the Nassau County Legislature had sometime back filed a lawsuit against the company claiming that the search engine company had paid links to websites promoting child pornography.
Toback said in a statement that he decided to drop the lawsuit after Google offered to sit down and discuss the issues. And since Google did not want to do that while the lawsuit was pending in the courts, he decided to drop the lawsuit to start with the talks.
Google had denied these accusations and had said that the company takes numerous steps to prevent access to child pornography. The company added that they were pleased that this lawsuit was dropped and they plan to actively discuss the issues with the concerned lawmakers.
