Hubble Space Telescope having problems with its primary camera
Engineers working on the Hubble Space Telescope program have said that the main camera on the telescope has stopped working.
This is the Advanced Camera for Surveys, which was installed by a space shuttle crew in 2002, and it stopped working on Monday.
The people working on the project are still working on finding out the problems in the camera. Ed Campion, a NASA spokesman at Goddard Space Flight Center said in a statement that they are working hard on finding a solution to this problem.
He added that the problem can be related to a bad transistor or it might be something caused by a cosmic event. Both of these can be fixed and they are hopeful of finding out the reason behind the non-working camera unit on the telescope.
