Vonage Holdings to launch device to enable using PC as a phone

VoIP industry giants Vonage Holdings Corp. is expected to launch a plug-in device that will turn a computer into a phone. This news was reported by Wall Street Journal in a report.

Vonage is expected to launch this device named V-phone. It would enable their customers to make calls through software embedded on a memory drive that can plug into a USB slot on a laptop or desktop computer.

The software would start working as soon as the device is plugged into the computer. Vonage is going to target this product at business travelers. It is expected to cost around USD 40. It would be available for company customers who have signed up for a Vonage calling plan.

Vonage has officially declined to comment on this report.

    YES, finally VoIP over your PC! This is what most business travellers need. Indeed, I have my PC with me wherever I go for business and Internet connections are everywhere. Therefore, this is the equivalent of a mobile phone at a fraction of the price.
