Apple brings MacBook to India

Apple Computers has finally launched their recently unveiled MacBook range of notebook computers in the Indian market.

This adds to the already available range of Apple MacBook Pro notebooks that were launched a couple of months back

MacBook are consumer version of laptops from the company and are available in India in the price range of Rs 66,900 to Rs 87,600.

MacBook Pro on the other hand are priced between Rs 1,15,800 to Rs 1,41,900. These launches were part of Apple’s transition to Intel processors from IBM’s PowerPC architecture.

Philip Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President spoke on these new products: “Apple began the transition to Intel Core Duo-based notebooks in February with the 15-inch MacBook Pro and we have completed the transition with the launch of new models.”
