Apple iPod updates rumored to be delayed
Wall Street analysts have said that they believe that Apple Computers is facing issues to launch the updated range of iPod players on time.
This news report resulted in Apple shares taking a beating in the stock market as the share price fell to an eight-month low on Wednesday.
American Technology Research analyst Shaw Wu revealed in a report that they expect the company to bring the new versions of Apple’s slim iPod Nano player only by fourth quarter of the current year. Apple has changed some suppliers and this would result in some delay.
They had earlier predicted the new players to arrive in the market by the third quarter of the year.
Wu also said that they predict that the company would now ship their wide-screen video iPod only by next year. Earlier, these new players were expected to arrive in the market before the end of the current year just in time for the holiday season.
