General Motors launches Chevrolet SRV in India
General Motors is continuing with their Indian plans to launch new vehicles with the aim of attaining a 10% market share by the end of the decade.
The company has now launched a sports car, Chevrolet SRV. The prices of this new model start from Rs 6.97 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi.
GM is also due to launch a new small car as early as next year, which should bring them the high volumes. This can be the much-awaited Chevrolet Spark, which is seen as the update for the Daewoo Matiz car.
GM India President and Managing Director Rajeev Chaba said in a statement on their plans for the Indian market: “The mini car would be rolled out from our Halol facility and this would get the benefit of excise duty cut for small cars announced by the government in this year’s budget.â€
