Dell plans to recycle all their hardware for their customers
Dell is the world’s largest seller of personal computers and this puts a great responsibility on their shoulders for recycling of old hardware and other equipments.
The company has now revealed that they are expanding their recycling program and by the end of the year, they would let any consumer customer in the world return any Dell-branded hardware free of charge.
This new program was announced by the company chairman Michael Dell. It would remove the current stipulation, which requires the customer to buy a new system to recycle old gear without paying for the pick-up.
Dell said in a statement on this new plan: “We were the first in the computer industry to offer free recycling. We did that in 2004. This is another first, to give consumers free recycling whether they’re buying a new product or not.”
The program would be first introduced in their home market of United States. Good news for our environment looking at the number of computers Dell sells around the world!
