Google Checkout is online
The long awaited Google’s own payment service is now online. It is named Google Checkout and it is online as a final release rather than a beta as most other new Google services are.
The service is not limited to Google advertisers as previously expected though Google is giving Adwords customers some special advantages.
Google Checkout has been designed to simplify business-to-consumer online transactions and consumers can store their information safely with the search engine giant.
Using Google’s payment module, the user saves the hassles of putting in his credit card details on the sites he is shopping at. Google is supporting various payment methods. This includes credit cards from Visa International, MasterCard International, American Express, and Discover Bank.
Google has also in a way integrated Google Checkout with their AdSense program. Ads from companies supporting Google Checkout get a special icon informing the user of the same.
