AksInfo: Avoid it like Plague

I have this small package bought at this idiot’s hosting service called AksInfo. If it was not bad enough that he charged a bomb for the package initially (I did not research the market well, which I accept is my fault)… I now find him totally incompetent and incapable of providing even the basics of a general user’s need.

Last month, one fine day… he just lost me 2 years worth of Blog Posts and a total of 4 sites when the administrators of his servers for the sake of fun formatted all the servers and backups in the datacenter. Not ashamed of costing me 4 sites, he kept crying for his own losses on instant messenger when I asked him for a refund. His logic was that since no one else was moving on to a new service for hosting, I was being illogical for demanding a refund. So, I had 2 options… Ignore the losses and shift the domain to a new server or again trust him till the package runs out. So, I gave it a go again.

Now, he was so loyal to his last @$$h0le server guys that he continued on them for another month. But the b@$t@rd decided to move on to a new server for I do not know what reasons. And in the process of moving, killed my lone site on that server yet again. Apparently the new servers did not support the HTA rules that were working fine on the old server. So, I promptly asked him to look into the issues and get the problems resolved. But 3 days of waiting he just kept bragging on the fact that the server guys monitor the sites every 15 minutes. All this time my own personal site was giving internal server errors. I mailed him once again which got me no responses.

Tired of all the bull$hit happening all over again, I tried fixing the server rules which no matter how hard I tried did not work. In the end I just removed them so that at least the site can start working again. And with this I sent him another mail that I had removed the rules and told him to find the alternative settings which will let me use them. The reply came back that the site was working fine and I was making a fuss for no apparent reasons and it was none of my business to complain for the lack of support.

Now, I do not get this… My primary reason of running a website is not wasting my time arguing with the server guys or fixing the issues that occur due to incompetence of web hosts. And I really do not like arguing with people who cannot accept the fact that they can be wrong and at fault.

The end result is that, either the World has some problems with me… Or all the incompetent people in this World somehow find me because in the last few years I have met and seen a lot that I no longer believe there is enough sanity left in this World.

So, add this host to the lists of Bad Hosts:
