Discovery launch delayed due to bad weather
NASA was due to launch the Space Shuttle Discovery to space today. However, the launch has now been post postponed due to bad weather.
The seven astronauts were at their positions at the departure time of the Discovery, but the changing weather conditions made it impossible for the NASA to go ahead with the launch.
Mission controllers then informed the Discovery commander Steve Lindsey about the decision to postpone the launch. Lindsey later said: “We’ll launch when we’re ready, and hopefully tomorrow.â€
However, the weather reports are even worse for the next two days. The launch window is open till July 19 so NASA still has sometime on their hands for this launch. After that date, the space agency would have to wait for next month to get the next possible launch window.
