AllofMP3.com to be sued by British music industry
The UK based music industry group is all set to sue the Russian music download site AllofMP3.com. They have now received the clearance to do so in London’s High Court.
AllofMP3.com has gained tremendous popularity in the recent months as it offers music downloads for cheap. Full albums are available for sale for as little as a pound.
It is already the second most heavily used online digital store in the UK after Apple’s iTunes store. The website owners claim that their operations are legal in the country the website is running from. However, the music labels say they have not given permission for AllofMP3 to sell their songs.
British Phonographic Institute said in a statement: “The reason AllofMP3.com downloads are cheap is that neither the artists nor the record companies are being paid.â€
