Apple and Creative open to settlement out of courts
Apple Computer and Creative Technology have both said that they are open to the possibility of settling their differences out of the courts, which could potentially save the two companies a lot of legal hassles.
Apple is currently the dominating player in the digital music player market and controls more than half of all sales in the US market. Creative wants a slice of this lucrative pie and had resort to legal means saying Apple infringed on their patents related to these players.
Apple in return sued Creative back claiming that they had broken their patents while designing digital music and video players.
The problems between the two companies are also being investigated by the International Trade Commission.
