Chinese automakers to rock US Auto Show
Media reports say that as many as four Chinese automakers are expected to take display space at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
This would be a massive improvement from the show this year when we just had one Chinese automaker making an appearance at the auto show.
Geely Automobile became the first Chinese automaker to make a debut at a US auto show in January this year. The company showcased a $10,000 small sedan and they are expected to comeback next year as well.
Some other companies which seem to be interested are Hunan Chang Feng Group, Great Wall Motor Company and Hebei Zhongxing Automobile Company.
This is being seen as the prelude to the entry of Chinese cars in the US automobile market. They have the advantage of cost efficiency, which can result in some really cheap alternatives for the US based customers.
