XM Satellite Radio Holdings adds 398,000 subscribers in 2nd quarter of the year
XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. has said in a release that they have added more than 398,000 subscribers in the second quarter.
This rate of growth is slower than expected as the company struggled with new product availability and overall softness in the market.
XM is the America’s largest satellite radio operators and they now have a subscriber base of around 6.89 million customers.
The first three months of the year saw the company add 568,000 new subscribers. XM has already decreased its full year 2006 subscriber target to 8.5 million subscribers from an earlier announced figure of 9 million.
