Rajiv Dutta might become the new head of eBay PayPal

Online payment service PayPal has announced that its president Jeff Jordan is stepping down from his position to spend more time with his family.

The eBay owned company faces comprehensive challenges in the market with Google launching their Google Checkout service just a couple of days back.

eBay made big news today when they officially banned their buyers from using Google Checkout as a mode of payment for selling on their online store.

This sudden departure has put Rajiv Dutta as the potential candidate to replace Jordon at the top in the company.

Max Levchin, co-founder of the service spoke to the media about this decision of Jeff: “I’m not really sure why he decided to leave, but I do know the giant machine that processes money” no longer depends on any one executive.”

He further added: “Rajiv is a polished financial guy; one of those people who never gets a number wrong in an analyst call.”
