Google makes it as a verb in Collegiate Dictionary

To Google something has been a part of vocabulary since many years now. However, the search engine giant now finds a place in the Merriam-Webster’s latest edition of Collegiate Dictionary.

Google is one of the 100 new terms that made the cut for this latest updated version of the Dictionary and this goes on to show the growing popularity of the search engine company around the world.

As expected, most of the new expressions are derived from the technology sector as it has become an integral part of everyone’s everyday life.

Some other terms added this year include “mouse potato”, “spyware”, “unibrow”, “himbo”, “supersize”, “drama queen”, “agritourism”, “biodiesel”, “sandwich generation”, and “manga”.
