Intel to launch Core 2 Duo on July 27

While we in India wait for the computers in the local market to feature dual core processors, Intel is already ready to launch the phase two of dual core processors.

The microprocessor giant is now set to launch Core 2 Duo at an event scheduled for July 27. The launch would take place at the company’s headquarters in Santa Clara, California.

The launch ceremony would be presided over by Intel CEO Paul Otellini and other executives as the company looks towards the future with the end of Pentium range of microprocessors.

These new processors has been developed by the company after they noticed that consumers were moving on to AMD’s latest range of processors which offered better performance at a competitive price.

Intel is now expecting to increase its market share in the processor market with this new range of processors, which the market analysts believe would shine in benchmarks beating all the competing products in the market.
