Apple Computers share takes a hit, as analysts believe iPod sales might drop
Shares of Apple Computer took a beating at the stock market after Credit Suisse reported that the company might suffer from falling sales of their iPod range of digital music players.
Apple has not updated their Apple iPods for quite sometime and has not hinted on any forthcoming update to this range of digital music players.
Market analyst Robert Semple said in a report that the company might not be able to meet the market expectations with the sales of Apple iPods. However, they believe that Apple should come out with newer variants in September or October to fuel holiday orders.
Semple wrote in his report: “We expect the stock to remain highly volatile based on the short-term focus around the timing of upcoming product introductions and their varying degrees of success.â€
He went on to cut his estimate of iPod shipments in the quarter ended July 1 to 7.75 million units from 8.25 million.
