Yoshiaki Sakito to be replaced by Phil Schiller at Apple Japan
Apple Computers is the leaders in the digital music player market in the Japanese market as they are in most markets around the world.
This can be credited to Yoshiaki Sakito who was at the forefront of Apple’s successful marketing of its iPod digital music player in Japan.
He now plans to start his own venture business and has exited from the Apple Computers. This was announced after he and Apple Computer reached an agreement.
Details of his talks with the company have not been revealed though the company has decided to replace him with Phil Schiller, who oversees Apple’s worldwide marketing.
This news comes at the time when competitors including Sony and Microsoft are increasing their efforts on launching potential iPod rivals and market analysts are predicting that the company’s next generation of iPod are delayed and they might suffer dropping sales in the near future.
