Google working on a search engine for the blind
Search engine giants Google has said that they are working on a version of their popular search engine, which would be optimized for the blind web users.
This optimized search engine would make it easier for the web users to find information on the web. The under development version of this accessibility search engine is currently available on Google Labs.
T.V. Raman is one of the individuals working on this project at Google and he said that the concept is based on sorting the search results based on the simplicity of page layout, the quality of design and the organization and labeling of information on each page.
He added: “I knew it was a hard problem. What did I discover by doing this project? It’s an even harder problem than I anticipated.”
This custom search engine tool from the company uses the Google Co-op technology.
