Market Experts: Ford need new exciting vehicles for a turnaround
Ford Motors is the second largest US based automaker and they are going through tough times. Rising fuel prices has resulted in falling sales for the company, which relies a lot on their fuel guzzling SUVs.
The company is now undergoing a massive restructuring process, which would see them closing down loss making plants and cutting thousands of jobs. However, the market analysts believe that the company needs to do much more than that.
They need to launch new exciting fuel efficient and reliable vehicles, which would attract more customers. Customers who won’t buy Ford cars just because they come with heavy discounts. They need to counter the challenge provided by Japanese automakers including Toyota and Honda by doing what they should be doing in the first place, developing good exciting cars.
Ford has been losing market share to competitors in the US market since a decade now and they cannot waste more time waiting for things to change for them. They need to take some strong steps and they need to take better steps rather than just cut costs.
