M6: Apple developing a wireless version of its Mighty Mouse
We now have photos and details on a wireless version of the Apple Mighty Mouse, which the company has developed for their Mac computers.
The information was revealed by the company in a U.S. regulatory filing and this version is expected to use Bluetooth technology to stay connected to the computer.
This feature itself required the company to gain regulatory approval from the Federal Communications Commission, as they need this to sell the device in the US market.
Apple has used the codename M6 for this mouse as per information made public by the FCC. The photos made available to public shows a device similar in looks to the wired version of the Mighty Mouse and comes powered with two AA-batteries.
Apple has not officially commented on these reports in the media and has not said when and at what price this new mouse would be launched in the retail segment. The company however is due to come out with new announcements and products at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco from August 7 to 11.
