Nokia launches N93 and N73 ‘multimedia computers’
Nokia might be the world’s largest maker of mobile phones but they no longer like to call their higher end mobile phones, mobile phones. Instead, they prefer to call them ‘multimedia computers’.
The company has launched two new phones in their popular n-series. These two models are N93 and N73 and these are being showcased more like “multimedia computers” rather than mobile phones.
Nokia claims that with Nokia N93 you can capture DVD-quality home videos. Users can also connect the phone to a TV to play the clips, transfer images and video to an online albums, blog about them, or burn them to disc.
The camera records at an impressive 30 frames per second and can capture stereo sound. Users can also edit these videos on the mobile phone itself. The phone supports communications on wireless LAN, 3G (WCDMA), EDGE, and GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) networks for broadband Internet access and voice.
Nokia N73 on the other hand comes with a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera. It is capable of interacting with social network sites such as Flickr. It is compatible with 3G or quadband EDGE/GSM networks and is powered by the S60 Symbian operating system.
