Arrested Development coming on MSN Video

If Apple iTunes can have Friends on sale, MSN Video would have free episodes of the quirky TV comedy “Arrested Development”.

The software giants have confirmed that they would be making available episodes of this series on their online video service later this year.

This would be the first time Arrested Development would be available officially on the net for download.

MSN plans to make their revenues from online advertisements rather than selling the episodes to the customers. Rob Bennett, MSN’s general manager of entertainment and video services spoke on this new initiative: “On TV, ‘Arrested Development’ created an incredibly passionate and dedicated fan base, and we’re thrilled to bring this series to the global MSN audience.”

Incidentally, Microsoft’s MSN will have exclusive portal rights to syndicate this show’s 53 episodes for three years.
