Audible.com renew contract with Apple’s iTunes Music Store

Audible.com is a company, which specializes in providing downloadable audio books and radio shows. They have now renewed their contract with Apple Computers to provide their content on Apple iTunes digital music and video store.

This deal is exclusive and would see them provide content for the popular Apple iPod. This deal would last through September 2010 instead of the older deal, which worked till September 2007.

As a result of this deal, users of Apple iTunes would continue to have access to around 105,000 hours of downloadable audiobooks and over 16,000 Audiobook titles.

Market analysts believe that such a deal would get Audible around 22% of the total revenues generated from sales on Apple iTunes.

Users can also continue to go to Audible.com website and purchase their content there.
