AOL trying to attract broadband users with revamped online video store

Time Warner’s internet division AOL has announced that they have totally revamped their digital video online store. The company hopes that this would bring in more customers, which are on broadband connections.

The company is providing more than 45 video-on-demand channels and an improved search engine to attract broadband users.

AOL said that they would start testing the aolvideo.com site on Aug. 4 and the general public would get to access it from sometime later this month.

Users would get to see video content from content providers including MTV and Warner Bros. The company needs more visitors to their network of sites considering they are relying more and more on advertisement based revenues.
