SingTel now has more than 92 million mobile subscribers
Singapore Telecommunications has said that they now have more than 92 million mobile service subscribers.
The company gained from growing subscriber base in markets including India and Indonesia.
SingTel said in a statement that they added 7.4 million mobile phone subscribers in the three months to June compared with the previous quarter. This happens to be the highest increase for the company ever.
Bulk of this growth came from their associates Bharti in India and Indonesia’s Telkomsel.
In their home market of Singapore, the company now has 1.62 million mobile users compared with 1.55 million a year ago.
