XM Satellite collaborates with Google for advertising
Search engine giant Google has gone into a collaboration with XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. this deal would enable Google to place ads on XM’s non-music radio channels.
This would add on to the existing internet based advertisement services provided by the search engine company. Google would get a way to access the strong 7 million subscriber base of XM Satellite.
It would also enable XM to get a new range of advertisers for their radio services. They might also save money on costs related to processing ads.
Google and XM however declined to reveal the financial details of their collaboration.
The two companies however said that this deal would enable Google’s AdWords customers to place terrestrial and satellite radio spots through the search engine’s dMarc media network.
