Google now powers 60% of US based internet searches
As per latest statistical reports, search engine giant Google now powers as many as 60% of all internet searches in the US market.
Internet Metrics Company Hitwise has said in its latest report that during the four-week period ending July 29, 60.2% of U.S.-based Internet searches were executed at Google.
Yahoo! was the other gainer in this market as they improved their market share from 22.0% to 22.5%.
Microsoft’s MSN Search Engine lost some market share as its market share fell down from 12.1% to 11.8%.
With this, the top three search engines in US accounts now for more than 94% of all searches in the United States.
