Google now highlighting Google Video from homepage
Google is how highlighting the Google Video service on their homepage. This is big news considering the company is now trying to get more traffic on their video service, which has competitors including the popular YouTube.com service.
Google is also testing their video service for possible revenue generating sources by adding advertisements to some of their videos.
With the video link added on the Google.com homepage, the links to books, discussion groups and shopping have been dropped. The Google homepage now has links to Web, images, video and news in addition to the Google Maps service.
Impressively, as per web traffic monitoring service this change has already doubled the amount of traffic on the Google Video website.
