Nokia’s Vertu is in high demand
Nokia is the world’s largest maker of mobile phones and they have a luxury brand named Vertu, which caters to a specific customer market.
And this luxury unit is seeing strong demand this year and impressively, the company is struggling to increase production to keep up.
Vertu’s customers are wealthy buyers who are provided with high-end mobile phones made from platinum, gold and diamonds.
Chris Harris, Vertu’s marketing director spoke about the market response to their products: “At the moment we cannot meet demand. Sales are more than doubling this year. We hope that pace will continue also next year.”
Vertu is due to come out with their newer models next month and this is further expected to boost their sales.
