Dell to expand AMD powered products in its lineup
Dell just recently started to offer AMD powered products in their stores. Now, the company has confirmed that they plan to expand its use of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. microprocessors.
This is a major victory for AMD against the dominant player in the microprocessor market Intel.
Dell mentioned in a statement that they plan to use newer AMD processors in their desktop and server lineup.
This news helped AMD improve its position in the stock market as the share price of the company went up by around 7%.
Intel responded by saying that they are disappointed by the announcement made by their once exclusive partner in the computer hardware industry.
