Friendster gets $10 million in new funding
Online social networking portal Friendster has said that they have received $10 million in new funding.
This would help them to expand in global markets around the world and get its dominating position back in the market, which is now dominated by sites like MySpace.com, Facebook and Orkut.
Friendster President Kent Lindstrom said in a statement that his strategy was to return the company to its original vision of building on real-world relationships between friends rather than virtual friendships that other social networks emphasize.
He added: \”We are hopefully your place to link to your real post-college friends. In some sense we have conceded that MySpace is a much better media company.\”
