AMD opens up research and development center in Shanghai
Microprocessor maker Advanced Micro Devices has opened up a multi-million dollar research and development center in Shanghai.
This new division of the company would work on the development of next-generation mobile platforms and test microprocessors.
AMD plans to hire hundreds of workers and this would become their second largest system design hub outside the United States.
Karen Guo, corporate vice president and president of AMD Greater China spoke on the opening of this center: “The opening of the Shanghai Research and Development Center further expands our footprint in the region while enhancing our ability to serve customers and partners in China and around the world.â€
