ThinkPad T60: Lenovo now supports Cingular UMTS/HSDPA-based technology

China based personal computer maker Lenovo has announced the availability of their first machine that comes with built in Cingular UMTS/HSDPA-based technology.

This Lenovo machine is now available on sale in the US market.

ThinkPad T60 becomes the first Lenovo product to support this technology and it would provide the consumers mobile high-speed access nationwide with UMTS/HSDPA-based Cingular BroadbandConnect service.

This service would be accessible in and around the top 21 major metro areas. In addition, the consumers can also make use of wireless access in more than 100 countries worldwide with EDGE or GPRS data services.

Cingular has further said that they plan to extend the availability of its BroadbandConnect to most major metro areas in the U.S. by the end of 2006.
