Dell DJ Ditty: latest victim of the success of Apple iPod

Apple’s popular digital music player iPod has claimed another victim in the form of Dell’s DJ Ditty player.

Dell has quietly stopped selling their recently launched DJ Ditty music players. The decision to stop selling this player comes less than a year after the launch.

Dell had launched this player to challenge the dominating of Apple iPod Shuffle range of low-end digital players.

The company said on this issue that they are returning their focus back on their primary business of selling PCs, printers and flat-panel televisions.

Dell however continues to sell players from Creative Technology Ltd., iRiver, SanDisk Corp. and Samsung on their website.

… Hopefully Apple can defeat Dell in the Personal Computer market as well…. The world would be a better place.
