ProtectionPack: EarthLink offering anonymous email account service to its subscribers
EarthLink has announced the availability of new service named ProtectionPack for their customers.
This service let their customers to make as many as five new anonymous addresses, which are linked behind the scenes to their regular accounts.
These email ids could be used by these users to register at websites and online stores, which are not very well known and can result in spamming on their regular accounts.
Messages sent to these accounts are automatically shunted to ProtectionPack folders in the user’s Web mail account.
Stephen Currie, EarthLink’s director of product management spoke on this new service launch: “Most of us get about 200 e-mails a week and some of it is still junk mail sneaking past our blocking tools, so it’s no surprise that our customers are ready for spammers to dance their last dance. [This] adds another layer of protection that helps subscribers out-smart spammers and cut-down on the bogus messages that clog inboxes.”
