CBS to stream ads through Bluetooth to mobile devices
Television studios have found a new way to broadcast advertisements to customers who are willing to receive free short video clips through Bluetooth connectivity on their mobile devices.
CBS has said in a statement that they would add Bluetooth wireless technology to billboards, which would transmit short video clips of five CBS prime-time shows onto mobile devices in the vicinity.
These videos could be transmitted to users who are within a region of 36 feet from the broadcasting billboard.
These videos would be made available for free and would not cost the user anything for the data transfer.
CBS plans to promote shows like “Shark,” “Smith,” “Jericho,” “The Class” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation†through this new innovating initiative.
