Market analysts believe Creative could benefit from Apple deal
Singapore based Creative Technology has tried many ways to challenge the domination of Apple Computers in the digital music player market. They have tried launching competing players, tried suing them but they have failed to catch the consumer’s fancy for their products.
However, the recent news of Creative settling their legal differences with Apple Computer might benefit them in the coming years.
They have managed to get Apple to give them around USD 100 million to settle the legal differences and they would now make accessories for the Apple iPod player.
Market analysts believe that this deal could save Creative from a total collapse and would help them capture the market for iPod speakers and headphones.
Creative has now joined the Apple Computer’s “Made for iPod” program.
Even the Creative chairman and chief executive Sim Wong Hoo has accepted that their latest deal with Apple opens up significant new opportunities for the company.
