General Motors launches Chevrolet Optra CNG edition
US based automaker General Motors has finally launched the CNG edition of their Chevrolet Optra car in the Indian market.
GM has priced this car at Rs 8.1 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). GM President and Managing Director Rajeev Chaba spoke on this launch that the CNG initiative is a manifestation of our resolve to address the needs of consumers nation-wide through the growing line-up of Chevrolet vehicles.
The company for starters plans to make available this model in the markets where CNG is readily available. This would give them markets including Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat.
The good news is that existing owners of the Optra car would have an option to have a CNG kit installed on their vehicles and retain their warranty coverage. The kit’s cost comes to around Rs 49,000.
