Japan to get around 75 new Blu-Ray based movie titles
As per the latest incoming information, around 75 new movie titles are soon coming in Japan on the Blu-Ray media.
This includes some popular movies like “The Da Vinci Code” and “Chicken Littleâ€. These titles are expected to be available in the retail markets by the end of the year.
Sony is the primary developer of the Blu-Ray standard and these new launches by some of the biggest movie studios in the world would help them promote the devices supporting Blu-Ray format.
The movie studios planning to launch more titles on Blu-Ray format include The Walt Disney Co., Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox.
Warner and Paramount are incidentally launching their titles on both Blu-Ray and the competing HD DVD format.
