Japan to get around 75 new Blu-Ray based movie titles

As per the latest incoming information, around 75 new movie titles are soon coming in Japan on the Blu-Ray media.

This includes some popular movies like “The Da Vinci Code” and “Chicken Little”. These titles are expected to be available in the retail markets by the end of the year.

Sony is the primary developer of the Blu-Ray standard and these new launches by some of the biggest movie studios in the world would help them promote the devices supporting Blu-Ray format.

The movie studios planning to launch more titles on Blu-Ray format include The Walt Disney Co., Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox.

Warner and Paramount are incidentally launching their titles on both Blu-Ray and the competing HD DVD format.
